Lily Pond Painting for Today


Once Upon a Pond

Today's creation for my Lily Pond Series is a combination of real and fantasy . I took a scene from our precious lake ( Heron Lake) , abstracted it and of course,added lilys plus a few other things. Question, how far does your artistic license go in your art? Are you really creating art when you copy a photo?
Actually, that's two questions. I'm very interested in your answers.
